Re: 808 gallery issues

I have gotten the latest update this last Friday, and what a pleasant way to start the weekend it was:

Things that have gotten improved

The touchscreen keyboard - beautiful upgrade to wider buttons and a really convenient user experience

The gallery now is viewable both in horizontal and vertical mode - excellent convenience

Multiple image selection is finally allowed when wanting to delete several images - this was the original reason I registered for the forum, thank you!

The recent improvements really make me feel like I've been heard by a biiig company, that is cool, as my comments were meant to share constructive criticism on what may make the 808 Experience moreso enjoyable, thank you.

Some additional thoughts, based on personal experience:

1. Lke I've said before, this phone is all about the camera, camera, camera experience. Over the past couple of months, the pixel Digits has been an instant conversation starter on several occasions now. That is a great fun and rightfully so benefitial for the marketing of phone, yet there are some obstacles which make the full presentation (to a potential new client of yours :smileywink:, ahah) difficult. Here's why -

The Gallery needs to allow the creation of several albums. Badly.

Suppose I had a nice Friday evening with my girlfriend and took some great personal photos of her in the evening lights. On Saturday we take some great nature shots while travelling to visit her family, using that as the reason for a delayed arrival. During the dinner session, we all joyfully discover the common passion for photography and cool phones. My darling happily declares to everyone at the table about a "totally amazing phone her boyfriend has", and that we should definitely check out the photos of autumn.

Her dad is excited more than anyone else. "41 megapixles?! Really?! No way! Let me see that beast!"

My dear Nokia Pureview 808, what do we do?

There is no way they will not notice the images from Friday evening in the thumbnail meniu next to the totally normal Nature shots taken today. Basically, I am in a tricky situation. Next time, I better NOT EVEN MENTION this phone.

When's a "next time?" - I'd say pretty much very often - anytime I wan to talk about the camera and the photos it takes. As a smartphone user, I want more control over what my photo gallery exposes. I greatly enjoyed being able to sort the images on the Nokia E7, through cool name tags that hid what was personal very well, from what I chose to share under tags like "Nature Today".

2. Multiple image selection - now one is allowed the selection of multiple images to be only Deleted. Ok, what about being able to Send them via email or Bluetooth? I'd love to be able to select 2-4 images of suitable size, and send them directly via one of the emails on the phone, directly from the multiple selection.

In any case, thank you for developing such awesome device. I have taken pictures daily every since getting. it.

If you have the black 808 then the silver metal island around the camera and flash can be used as a mirror. No big deal.
