Hi,
I have a little facebook icon at the bottom of the gallery when I view the picture. Do you have that? Unfortunately I do not use FB as I'm not a big fan so cant test it for you.
What does using the little FB icon do for you, if you have it?
Thanks,
Barry

same thing happened with my 808... I have the circle where the facebook icon should be, but it is blank. My first attempt at using this button worked, but it took a while to load the social app. The next time it just instantly killed the phone. I had to remove the battery to get it to turn back on.

For uploading a Photo on Facebook you may send it thru' 'PERSONALISED UPLOAD E-MAIL ADDRESS' ...
To get the e-mail address log-in at m.facebook.com (thru' Phone browser).. then click to see your 'Profile' .. Then click on 'Photo' ..in the next screen you should see 'Email a photo or video to' and an e-mail address below that .. Save this in your contacts..
To send.. go to Gallery and open the image-->Options-->Send (via e-mail) and then select the above e-mail address.. You may post your comments in the 'Subject' line ..

The facebook icon within gallery as well as upload to facebook works for me...
Not sure what different I am doing though...had religiously gone through the setup steps to setup all my accounts before.
I am using gravity. Had never checked Nokia social after initially logging in and setting up accounts, now logging in, but getting message 'unable to start' in Nokia Social!

I have no facebook icon when I open an image. The little oval is there, and turns blue when I click on it, but it does nothing.
I have setup my Nokia account and added my facebook account to it. Still no icon, I set up all these accounts when I 1st got my phone running.
I can log into the Social App and select photos to upload from there, but its slow and tedious.
On my E7 running Belle, I just click on a photo, share, and it brings up my facebook, click and done.
I am goign to call Nokia Customer support, or go on their online chat today to see if they can help me sort it out?

I would love to hear their solution. I'm getting a replacement overnighted from Amazon.com. If my next device is like this, I would LOVE to see Nokia address this. What is your product code? Mine currently is 059P728

I have the same issue as well and it is frustrating to have to go through an extra step when the integration is supposed to be there.

Ok guys, I have a 808 and I don´t have this issue but I can tell you how to upload pics to facebook without using this. The best way is pixelpipe, is a brilliant app, I was used to use this with my previous N8. You have to install pixelpipe on your phone, then go to pixelpixe.com and add your pipes (facebook, youtube, flicker, etc) so once that you have all configured you just have to go back to your phone, configure your account on the app and once this is done is really easy! Just have to go to gallery, select a pic/video and go to options/send/via pixelpipe and this will allow you to send your videos and photos to facebook and if you add more pipes and select these as default it will share your photo in several places at the same time with just one upload from your phone i.e. youtube, flicker, picassa, etc...is up to you. Pixelpipe even allow you to share status on facebook and twitter, create blog entries, ...
Is really powerful and the best thing for me is that it doesn´t compress the photos that uploads to facebook.

We do nto want a work around, we want the original advertised functionality of the phone working as it should.
I just got call at work from tech support at Nokia, problem is, I can get on the phone at work, I told the rep to have them call me after 4pm Eastern time USA and he assured me they would and they call at Noon. I am goign to have to play this game with them to get this fixed.

So Chat support was clueless and misinformed.
Level 2 support called me, was confused, kept changing her story and just told me Level 3 would call me tomorrow?
Interesting?
No wonder Apple and Samsung are killing Nokia?
