I live in Singapore and own a Nokia 808. Even the servcie centre does not stock the battery for the 808, BV-4D. Can the BL-4D be used on the 808? Thank you.

Try Amazon and see if you are able to get anything there.

No, fabianlee. You can only use the BV-4D which is the compatible battery for the device. Using other battery model may cause damage to the device and will invalidate the warranty.

If there are mobile phone stores near your location, you can try checking with them for the availability of the battery. If you weren't able to find one, I'll go with what adrianhughes provided and check other reputable online stores.

Thanks for the advice. Went to Amazon and found only this, not the original nokia BV-4D

While the original BV-4D is 1400mAh, this one is 1550mAh. Would this be more suitable than BL-4D? Can I use this?Would be most grateful if you could point me to a source where I can get the original nokia BV-4D. Thank you very much.
