When I switch on BT on my N79, other devices will see my nokia but my nokia doesn't detect other BT devices. Until recently it worked fine. I have the latest firmware available for my device (32.001.53.1), have deleted all paired devices but nothing works. Any ideas?

kindly delete all the earlier paired device and then try.

if nothing happens then restore factory settings.

press *#7780#

lock code: 12345 or as defined by you.

(do take backup first)

I'm having a similar problem as my 5 months old N79 refuses to power on its Bluetooth and Fm Radio. It is an annoying situation

From the screenshot you have attached, it seems your 3G is working simultaneously... also there seems a USB connection too.. Remove the USB.. disconnect from 3G and then see if you are getting the same error...

If its no more then next connect the 3G and try again... If now its working then the USB and Bluetooth activation togather is the problem..
