I have a 64GB microSD in my Nokia 808 Belle FP2.. I recently went on vacation and after about 600 pictures taken, I got an error that my micro SD card memory was full, and it auto switched the save location to my mass memory.
I have plenty of memory free on my micro SD card still.
Is there a picture or file limit in the DCIM folder?
thanks

32GB is just memory card spec.. thats not what I am talking about..
I am talking about a file/folder number limit under the DCIM folder..

It was a little less than 3GB of pictures.
The problem is that I have already copied out all the files from my phone to my computer, so I cannot tell how many files were in each 100NOKIA, 101NOKIA, 102NOKIA, etc.. at the time I got the error
I should of checked this first.

I would be very suprised if there was a limit on the DCIM directory contents size, especially one as low as 3GB.
You could test it easily enough just by taking some movies. I've just done a 10 second movie and it came to 20MB.

@ Jake: Buddy, I have taken over 4.5 GB of pics and videos on my recent trip to the Northern hills. And I have a 32 GB Class 10 MicroSD from Samsung. And yes, the folder went upto 103NOKIA. No problems even 1 month after the trip.
Do this:
1. I suspect that you might have used a Class 4 or Class 2 card. Check the printed number on your memory card, or the description on the box.
(Class 4 or 2 cards have lesser write speeds, thereby resulting problems specially when recording HD videos, or 38/34 MP Pics.)
2. Another explanation could be the formatting. Try formatting it with NTFS or FAT, inverse of what you have right now. Copy the files again and check if the problem is solved.
3. Check the same thing with a 32 GB/ 16 GB Class 10 Card and tell us, if the problem is solved or not.

thanks for the replies guys...
Its a sandisk 64GB Class 10 card.. and formatted with exFAT file system.
And only about 13-14GB of space was in use at the time, leaving about 45GB free..
Maybe it was just a one time glitch writing to the memory card. I don't know..
I guess one day I will have to try and re-produce the issue by just taking a lot of pics again, without deleting anything.

I can't see in the Guidelines it is mentioned that 32GB is the biggest supported.
Can you please post a link to this information?
Also is there any information on what gets changed in each Belle release?

Here, http://www.developer.nokia.com/Devices/Device_spec
As to the second question you have, let me get back to you on that one unless someone passes to this thread and would be generous enough to provide the information.

Nokia generally don't produce changelogs for the release of updates. They generally just give out a list of features and improvements. You can check the software updates page for your device to find what's new per update. http://nokia.com/support
