Hello,
first sorry for bad English. I hope I can get a better answer here. The german discussions version is not very helpful.
I restore the factory settings :
Settings and Phone > Phone management > Factory settings > Restore
This does not affect documents or files stored on your phone.
I didn't insert any security code!
But it deleted all data on E:\ mass storage
I try to use some recovery program, but they find nothing.
I don't want my SMS or music back, only my photos.
Maybe the, in german "online repair", can help me? (Send it to Nokia?)
by the way there is no care point in my near.
Had someone the same problem? And can give now a solution?
Thanks

@TxKreator
Looks like "Delete data and restore" was triggered in place of "Restore" somehow, but consequently don't see anyway of recovering your media unfortunately.

Sometimes you get wierd results..so a lesson learnt is..
Always back-up the data before any of the Resets (Factory, Soft or Hard)..and also take back-up at regular intervals especially after adding important data to the phone.

@Srikanthsd i tried this program, didn't help
@farby false answer ! Why there two options? bacause one delete your data and one should not!
@aspergerguy when you use the option that delete your data you have to enter a security code.
i didn't insert a code
i use the care chat, that give me a address for a repair center, but they said that nokia must fix this because they can't
what now?

sorry , did't get this ... I am very angry about this, all my photos are gone.. and all this because they don't do what they say.. since a few days, month actually , you don't get help when you use Symbian (especially in Germany)... and i think the way an "Update" makes more problems than it solves, is the way they make my problem.

What I meant was.. 'sometimes' you get results that aren't suppose to .. Like in this case it shouldn't have deleted any data but it has... and this may be just one off instance. Next time it need not behave like this and work the way it is designed to. But the lesson is alway back-up data before ANY resets though you are sure it is not going to erase any ...
Now, only an Expert in the Data recovery proffession (Google for it) may be able to help you if the data was extremely important ..

No Sync with my Pc !...
@farby now i learned the lesson ! but i'm still angry, because it didn't what it should.
I try to find an expert in data recovery but i think this is not cheap. this is a bug , and so a problem of nokia.. they have to help me but the care chat can't help. (german version bacause my english is to bad ) they only give me the address of a helpdesk and they said that they can't help me and i should contact nokia directly.
Nokia support in Germany is a realy bad thing ... this week i will try to contact a english helpdesk and hope they can give me a solution... if all this not work i have a back up of June, maybe i find a few pictures after restore it.
