Help. My Nokia 808 PureView Proximity sensor problem.

Hello. I just wanted to ask if my problem with the proximity sensor on my brand new Nokia 808 PureView not locking my phone when in a call even if my ear or my finger blocks the sensor is a Firmware/Software-related or a Hardware-related problem? It's not a big issue but i just wanted to know.

PS: It has no screen protector covering the sensor.

 

Please I need your expert advice. So that if it's really a hardware-related I can send it to the Nokia Care Center. And if its a software/firmware-related then I'll just wait for the update.
And thank you for having the time reading my post/query and answering.

Software version: 113.010.1507

HI,

 

I have been through the same issue as you. In my case it was a hardware problem.

 

Nokia support confirmed it.
