Someone please help me...

I want to completely format my nokia 5230.

I tried in the phone. It is Factory Restore. This does not delete the phone memory.

I want to delete all the contents of the phone. Just like it came when it was new.

Please please help. I will be very thankful to you.

make sure your battery is high.

turn off the phone.

press and hold this weird button combination:

CAMERA, GREEN button, POWER.

hold all of them. after nokia handshake, release. it will format all internal.

it's decribed above,

green + red + camera while pressing power button too will make your phone memory like out-of-the-box condition

and the memory card, format it using file manager in menu=applications=office=file man.

choose memory card options ..... format

If I do format like this for 5230, is it cause for phone unlocked too? because my phone is locked by 3UK. I'm in Sri Lanka. I coudn't use in here. please advice me.

this is swapnil matele i have nokia 5230 and i love my set to much, but from last 2 months i am facing lots of problums with my set like slow working, signal problum, and mostly i am unable to install applications on it, when ever i m going to install any application i will show internal error message.

I already try hard reset, factory setting, reinstallation and updation of firmware and also with buttons combination (CAMERA+GREEN+RED+START).but still i m facing this problum please help me out with this as soon as possible.

No.. as it is said..'Firmware can not be downgraded'

Hey,

Try these codes:

1- *#7780# – Soft Reset Code, It restores the factory setting without affecting your contacts, messages, files etc.It’ll ask for the lock code. The dafult lock code is 12345.

2- *#7370# – Hard Reset Code, on entering this code it’ll show you the same message “Restore all original phone settings” but this time it’ll erase all the data stored in the phone memory. So, use it only when some serious software problem occurs such as virus attack.Take phone memory data backup on memory card or PC  before doing hard format.

Ok, the thing is. I forgot my security code, I've tried to the the key combination but it doesn't work.

I allready thought of go by a Nokia Assistance but I dont have the papers that prove that I'm the owner.
