Hello! I'm new to the forum. Guide me if i'm wrong.
Yup, it feels somewhat a weird question, but it really means a lot to me.
I have N81 on which i changed battery 4 times in 5 years! I really don't know why this problem occurred.
Now coming to the point, got a new 808 pureview. What charge should i give it as a first charge?
And how frequently should i charge? Does charging even before battery level is somewhat above 60% have any adverse effect?
Or should i charge it when the device says battery low? Does partial charging has any effect? Should i fully charge the battery?
All these questions come in my mind with a new battery and phone.
I use to charge my N81's battery when it said "Battery low" and would charge until the battery is fully charged. But still i had to change my battery 4 times
My bro charge his C5 any time whether the battery level is low or high. Would it have any problem?
Can any please guide me with this little confusion? Would be very thankful if anyone could answer me.

Strangely enough, the current lithium ion/polymer batteries do not conform to any of the old myths of battery charging. They do not suffer from memory effect so you can charge then whenever you want. There is no need to drain the battery before charging and you can top up charge as required. Every couple of months you may want to recalibrate the battery and this is down by bringing the battery down as low as possible without the phone actually turning off. Other than that, just charge as you please.
By people may try to tell you that the battery has a finite number of recharhe cycles. This refers to full cycles only. The battery will actually take propertionately more part cycles than full cycles so it is preferable to part charge.
Try not to let the battery completely drain if possible because everytime this happens you run a small risk of the voltage falling below a critical level which may render the battery unchargeable.
Lastly, the battery takes around 1 dozen charge cycles before it attains optimum performance so you may find the battery life a little poor for a while but it will improve with each charge.
