Hello,

After I updated my 5230 firmware to V 51.0.002, all my music album art is jagged / too sharp / resized incorrectly. Is there a way to fix this? Or should I just downgrade the firmware back to the previous version? If so, how do I downgrade?

Did you try re-installing the Firmware...? If problem remains, you may have to re-size / correct the Album art thru' some application (google for it..) as there isn't any way to downgrade the Firmware...

How do you *reinstall* the firmware when it is already at the latest version?

What is the correct dimensions to resize album art to? But this is not a viable solution because the album art I have in my library is of different sizes. I would rather just attach them to each album and add to my phone without worrying about image resizing (which the previous firmware handled correctly).

Ugh. So frustrating. Didn't Nokia test their software updates before releasing them??

u can do reinstall from nokia ovi suite just go to update section of ovi suite u find there in little blue words reinstall firmware
for correct dimensions search on google u will definitely find it there

Move the files to HDD and recopy back to the phone

I think u must check the resolution of the album artwork..

Is the same song when played on PC shows good album artwork?

I've just tried this, same jaggedness. It doesn't matter if I copy the files back to the miniSD or the internal media storage.

The same files play fine on the PC with foobar2000 with the album art work displaying/scaling properly.
