Hi guys,
tomorrow I will buy a new phone and I am deciding between Nokia 500 and Nokia 700. I know the differences and tehnical details, I just need an opinion of users - if it is OK for me to buy a model 500 and save some money (compared to my usage).
So, what I need from my phone.
Simple usage - I think that Symbian Belle (at this time) is about the same in both models - or are there some significant differences (something like missing features on N500 or so).
I am using my phone as a music player (with my own headpones) and radio during my travel to work and back.
Internet usage: sending tweets, checking public transport schedule, sending a photo in small resolution to social networks.
So please, write me your opinion - is N500 enough or it would be better to buy N700?
Thanks.. Peter

500 feels better in your hand. 700 is too slim and too slippery.
500 has plastic screen (softer), 700 is a glass (feels too hard and too cold)
700 has better camera (if it's important for you) and LED flash (it will also help you in the dark)
500 has low hardware, no way to upgrade in the future. 700 is ok and will be upgraded with new software updates for a while.
it seems to me that 500 has more issues (here at Nokia Support Discussions) than 700, so 700 is more stable, i guess

Hi Kotrcka,
I would suggest you to go for the Nokia 700 after doing some extensive research about the two phones. The Nokia 700 is far much better in terms of camera because it has an LED flash while Nokia 500 does not have. In terms of screen display I would go for the Nokia 700 due to its AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass hence you do need to worry about scratchs on the screens while Nokia 500 has TFT screen. AMOLED screen is the best. In terms of processer speed I will go for Nokia 700 because it has a 1.3Ghz processor and that is achieved by the Nokia Belle Feature Pack 1 update and also Dolby Surround Sound is included in the update. The Nokia 500 received Nokia Belle software very late and it is due to the hardware limitations so if you really want a good phone between the two I would suggest you to buy the Nokia 700

Thanks for both answers :-)
Anyway, I am trying N500 now, I can switch to N700 in 14 days for free. And N500 looks pretty well for me :-) Maybe I can save money for a Lumia 610 or so before Xmass.
