Re: N70

Thats a hard question to answer as we all want diffrent things from our phones...

If I were you I start here and see what handsets T Mobile offer and then look them up on the Nokia site.

http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/Dispatcher?selectedManufacturer=Nokia&menuid=ctl_phones_catalogue&nmid=phones_catalogue...

I do like my N70, some things it does well, others bad... there are even thing I wish it would do but does not but I still love the handset.

You have to remember the N70 is an entry level smart phone... IE not the smartst smart phone but as I said we all want diffrent things from our phones so the N70 maybe the perfect phone for you.

Check out its web site...

I hope this hashelped you in some way...

Re: N70

My only recommendation would be to buy it sim-free, so you've not got the T-mobile variant firmware, then put your Tmobile sim in it... That's likely to work out a lot more expensive though.

The N70's a wicked phone, I love it, and so do most others... there are some problems, that you'll be able to find out about by reading on here, but nothing to put you off getting it.

Re: N70

The pink bar is probably the Tmobile variant firmware I mentioned earlier, and the menu in the middle of the screen can be turned off, though it's handy.

Slow compared to what? If you're comparing it with a standard phone, then yes, you will find it slower, if you're comparing it with another smartphone, then there's not gonna be much difference.

Re: N70

yes it can be slow... depends alot on firmware... I must say I agree with buying it sim free... at least you get Nokia's latest firmware.

The bar across the top of the screen can be removed... sorry im not sure what you mean by the pink bar at the bottom.

Im sure it could be sorted by a theme...

It's like this... I own an N70 and I love it worts and all but there are some who hate it...

Take yourself to Carphone wearehouse and test drive one...

The thing I hate about getting a new phone is you are stuck with is for a year so if you get it wrong a year is a long time...

search this fourm and see what pepole say.

/discussions/search?submitted=true&ticket=wurtlIB3mOad_-1&q=N70

I can say I think it is really good and that would be my honest oppinon but ten pepole could say its c**p so you need to do your home work.

Re: N70

yes i got my phone on t-mobile and had the pink bar at the bottom.

you can remove it by going to
> tools
> themes

and changing it. as for the bar on the home page, that can be turned off by an option in the tools bit.

i would say that the phone is good but quite slow compared to the samsung i300.

hope this helps.
