N8 Tagging people using 'places'

Hi.  when I check in using FB places on my N8, I can't tag anyone I'm with. Am I missing something? I gather I can't just use the '@' symbol infront of thier name, as that doesnt seem to do anything.  Would really appreciate any assistance on this

Symbian specialist until 31/01/2013 with interests in Maemo & MeeGo but an aversion to Windows!

Yes, I'm using Opera.  Am I right that I would just have to put the '@' before the name and I should be able to tag?
