Hii
I am from Chile, two weeks ago my N8 started auto restarted constantly many time in a day. I realized that this was when the 3G was on. I installed Symbian anna on October 2011 and the problem started two weeks ago. So far currently the only solution is turnoff 3G mode or Dual mode, and turn on Gsm. It doesnt a solution for me when i wanna use internet browser (low speed). Somebody can tell me if this problem will fix if i update to Symbian Belle. On Chile symbian belle is not available yet, but it should comes after.
Thank you. I hope your help
Bye

My EU-unlocked Nokia N8 Anna just started doing this as well on AT&T. I've been running Anna for months and no issues before. I already have a new SIM card, and that didn't solve it.
I tried the Search on/off setting but it has no effect. They were off already. I tryed turing them on and then off, but now I cannot turn them off again. You can but they just are turned on again when you start the search app again. Yet another bug it seems ...
Anyway, my wife had the same with her American C7 Astound last year. Reset and put backup back and it was gone. Came back after a month. Reset again, didn't go away. Upgraded to Anna soon after and since then didn't came back.
When my wife had it I already did extensive testing. Did not occur at work where signal quality and strength is very strong. When putting the phone in airplane mode also no reboots even when using WiFi. Unfortunately the C7 Astound is a T Mobile USA branded phone, so the option to disable 3G was disabled. Her SIM was brand new, so also not the cause.
On my unlocked N8 however I can toggle 2G/3G and the issues are gone when in GSM. When in dual or 3G it reboots at home (where singnal quality is so-so although strength is full bars mostly). When at work I also have full strength and quality, and no reboots ever.
Won't "upgrade" to Belle as there is no indication that this is actually solved and all the mess in general with Belle. Nokia doesn't even acknowledge this issue. Contract ends after summer, so will just put it in GSM mode untill then.
