Perhaps run Nokia Maps requiring GPS in the background and use an older charger with less mA output at 5.0V so current consumption marginally higher than charger input; this way battery will never get to 100%.

Worth trying as can find that when navigating low output car charger's can't replenish battery faster than energy being consumed! Just a thought that Maps application itself run for that length of time may have memory leakage and cause device to run out of memory, so you may have to continue experimenting as to choice of application to leave running.
