this may not be the appropriate forum for this question, but i'll ask anyways.

i am trying to find a 2-pin Midland to a cellphone jack converter or adapter that would work with my N8.

did anyone come across this problem before and can either share a know-how as to how to make one, or, preferrably, where to buy one?

to clarify, i have a throat mic headset with 1-headphone and 1-mic males, and i need to get them to work with my N8

Sorry but not sure that we have the technical expertise here to assist you with your query. Have you tried contacting your local Nokia Care to see if they have any suggestions or see what they can do?

Best that I could suggest would be whether you could utiise a couple of these with 4 pin 3.5mm Jack as Nokia pinout fairly easily found:

Beware though that if these are sold as iPhone compatible they will have MIC and GROUND switched!

thanks @aspergerguy and @paulheu i knew that chances are i'd have to do some soldering to make myself the piece, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction and for the schematic of the jack
