Got the N810 yesterday. Everything is fine except when loading Skype, which comes up with an error message "packets missing" any thoughts would be appreciated.

Had same issue. Uninstalled Skype, got the upgrade for the operating system, installed upgrade and then installed Skype again and it worked. However, if you are using a Bluetooth headset for Skype, make sure it is installed and active on the 810 before installing Skype or Skype may not see it and will only work through the tablet microphone and speakers. I believe I have the most recent upgrade to the operating system and Skype does not appear to be installed.

so,

I cannot delete it to reinstall.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Ok, I discovered I did not have the most recent firmware on the device and successfully upgraded the OS with the Windows tool. (first I had to locate a windows system. ;-) )

Now this is done I cannot install any new packages.

"Downloading failed."


I am connected to the network and can browse the web, read mail, etc. I just simply cannot add any software.

Frustrated.
