When I turn my N86 RM-485  v21.006 on I get a message stating there is an important update,, update now?  When I select Yes, I get o the update screen and it shows the Ovi Maps with free navigation update.  I select download and then update.  It downloads fine, but the install fails. I've turned the phone off several times with no success.  Any ideas?

Try updating to the latest non-free version using Maps Updater on a PC, then trying again.

How much free memory do you have on your phone memory?

C: drive has 33.5 MB, mass mem 5.5GB, Mem card 5.1 GB.

I am running Maps ver 3.01

First delete the cities and qf file from your memory (depends on where you save the maps themselves) . The maps of 3.01 AFAIK is not compatible to 3.03, then update.

l am also having issues with my n86 which keeps asking if l want to pay for navigation? l thought it was free once you download the free maps..l have cleared the maps previously and uploaded the free version with latest software, but l keep getting the same message, Please subscribe for £8.99 for 1 year. l have also swapped the sim card once and l recall a message about a certificate being transferred to the similar..??Please help!! Another query is my N97 does not lock with gps straight away.Despite sending it back to the warranty shop for repair. They say they fixed it including the camera sliding cover...does anyone have a clue the way out of this mess??
