Re: N97 Charging problem.

How old is the phone, the battery might be getting old.

Also try plugging the charger in, taking it out, then putting it back in and allowing ot to charge for a minimum of 12 hours... do this at night whe you go to bed.

Re: N97 Charging problem.

Batteries tend to have a limited charge lifetime... it may be a case that you need to purchase a new battery I'm afraid.

I used to have the memory full issue on my N97, I don;t think it ever got fully resolved... i ended up just living with it. have you tried reinstalling the firmware using Nokia Suite?

Re: N97 Charging problem.

Use Nokia Suite for your PC/Mac: http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/support/product/nokia-suite/

Connect your phone to your PC, once Nokia Suite recognises it press the green button on the toolbar to check for updates.... if any new firmware is available install this. if not it should give you the option to reinstall your firmware.

Re: N97 Charging problem.

thank you so much.just got done.i've also just realised that my phone charges properly via usb when i connected it to my laptop...unlike when i'm charging it using its plug...so could its charger have a problem and not the battery?

Re: N97 Charging problem.

Sounds very much like it is the charger. Is it the same one you got the phone with?
