If one wants to be on the safe side at home, too, one can spend time and money digging a mote around the house against inviding hordes of barbarians. Whether the investment is sensible or not, is a different thing.

For a Symbian phone, investing in antivirus softare is like digging the mote. You get a sense of security against a threat that isn't really there in the first place.
