Once I had read that Nokia had convinced 'Foursquare' app to provide a version to symbian users. Nokia is requested to still support Belle users as they still are selling symbian units. Ask Skype to update for belle users to support video calling. Give them money if they need or make it a paid app, but please do something.

In my opinion there is no further development for skype and symbian. The the version which is provided since 2011 is instable and it was never fixed.

When skype video call is not available in the end of this year I'll throw my n8 into the bin.

And it was my last Nokia Product.

You're probably right in that there will be no more development of Skype for Symbian but that doesn't mean your Symbian phone has to be your last Nokia. Skype for Lumia phones supports video calling plus, the Skype app for the new WP8 Lumias integrates itself with the OS so you can still receive notifications even when the app is closed and has no impact on battery life.

i suggest to write on all available symbian forums and tell people to write on the skype forum, about this, and show skype that symbian is not dead as they say, everyone think that symbian is dead even nokia, after some ads of iphones and android devices. I used them all even wp 8 , symbian is much better, there is no meaning to write about this to nokia or ask them to do something. Skype support forum is the target we need to hit. Some devs like Nimbuzz want to implement this on symbian version of their app, and this is a good strategy. I use nokia 700 yes i dont have front facing camera, maybe i wont be able to use video call normal, but how about MS account support, app stability and full compatibility ?? And this is why personaly i support this...

I hope MS will do Skype for Simbian well. The Simbian-Community is a very big group of people in the world.
