Nokia 500 Blocked - not permitted operation

so when you choose video call form the calling menu on the screen appears "not permitted operation" and the phone is blocked

as per the devices specifications, your phone does not have a front-facing camera, so you are unable to make video calls at all due to hardware omissions.

Thanks, but you can really associate a "video call" number in theaddress list, then if I push video call the phone blockes.Moreover in the menu "video call" appears but in the operating manual this operating is not mentioned. Then the front facing camera is not necessary if you call a 3G surveillance camera. You can implementing the operating SW on the phone anyway.

it may be a part of Symbian^3 platform that just wasn't removed for the 500 device. you can try re-installing your current firmware thru Nokia Suite on your PC, or checking if there are any firmware updates and upgrading if there is an update offered. Otherwise, its as simple as not attempting to make a video call, yes.
