Nokia 808 Phone Memory Maxed by hidden files
Hi folks,'
My 808 has jsut informed me that I've run out os space on drive C:\
Very strange. In windows Explorer the file total up a mere 111kb. However when I Long press on drive C:/ in the phone itself and hit details, I see it lists as 'Other Files' taking up a whopping 561Mb.
Problem is I've no way of being able to see waht they are and no way of deleting them.
Anyone got a solution? Cheers in advance ![]()

Try clearing the browser cache and deleting old emails and messages for a start and see how you get on.

Others usually filled with temp and swap files etc. Where are your photos stored? Do you use it for navigation? If so where are the maps stored? One surefire way of clearing it without having to figure out what causing it is to reset. This should nt be a problem if you only use it as a camera. I presume there is no data to backup.

Just avoid a three key depressed power on "hard reset" as this can cause issues with Nokia Store & Maps upon Belle devices. Either reset via UI = User interface or *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by user).
Go to Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone management > Factory settings > Delete data and restore

Just goto Settings>phone>phone management>factory settings>delete data and restore. May take a few minutes.

If you take pics with the default setting for the camera (all pics go to c: ) and then later change it to say e: it leaves all the stuff on c: but it is no longer readily visible.
That's one possibility.
