Working fine now on Anna n8 , even previously downloaded clips. This took far too long to fix tho, so I can't say well done to Nokia or BBC . I will say well done to all the forum posters for not letting them rest til it was fixed

Yeah ,I second that- for a few weeks all we were getting was a standard reply directing us to download and install a months old fix for an old problem!!

I was just trying to figure out where to get the fix from when you posted your message!

Save me some time digging around in the developer section.  As you say, the patch is available via Nokia Suite, but NOT yet via the software update option on a Nokia phone, at least not on my N8.

It's not appearing on Nokia Suite for me pr SW Update on my C7. Anyone got any tips about where else it might be found? Thanks- glad to see something has finally happened with this.

Same problem for me - just spent ages updating all kinds of software but still not coming up for the N8.  I note the above example uses a later beta version of Noia Suite.  I'm on 3.2.100 & can't find it anywhere - where am I supposed to look?  It doesn't come up in software updates.  Getting really frustrated.

I think I read somewhere that updates only refresh in a 24 or 12 hour cycle. Even with Nokia Suite. If that's so, temporarily alter your date a day forward or back and try search again.

Any change that someone that already received the update plugin can upload this for the rest to download. Or Nokia can you please give us a link as the update is still not available for me!

Hello, I recently had to a hard reset on my N8 and unfortunately the BBC iPlayer app was lost with this reset. Having seen that there is now a fix for the iPlayer issue I want to download the iPlayer app again, however there doesn't seem to be a compatible iPlayer app for the N8 at the Nokia Store. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a version (for the E7 for example) that can be downloaded in its place? Many thanks.

Yes, you're right about losing the widget on a reset.
When I did it, I had to download the widget for the N97 or the 5800 I think.
You change the phone selection from Nokia store (Web version) download and install via Nokia drop. The widget maybe oversized but open's the player via a webpage. You can't download a original for the N8.

Thanks for your help, I'll give that a go and see how I get on. I wonder why there is no download for the N8? I had a quick look at the E7 and C7 apps list. It appears that there is no iPlayer download for any of the S3 devices for what ever reason.... I also checked the Belle devices and it doesn't appear that there is an option to download iPlayer on these either...Strange.

Hi , i was also having problems playing back iplayer programs i had previously downloaded , i managed to fix it by download Nokia suite on laptop by going to www.nokia.co.uk click on SUPPORT then DOWNLOADS , solect yr phone .
Then download Nokia Suite then follow instructions.
once Nokia Suite installed go toSoftware updates go to green icon with arrow and click on it and update every thing , remembering to have phone connected via usb cord . Hope this helps as my phone work fine now :-) Mike .

Hello, I installed the 5800XM version of iPlayer on my N8 as previously suggested (not so much an app but a shortcut to the mobile iPlayer site).

I am currently able to stream the programmes however when I downloaded a video it came up with the 'no licence' error message which is of course the reason for the creation of this thread!

I have the latest version of Nokia Suite installed on my laptop so I will try the support section and give it another go; hopefully this will cure the licence issue!
