Nokia N8 Belle + mVPN: Policy not accepted

Hello together,

I would like to connect my N8-00 Belle with mVPN V.45.0.3 (from Nokia store) to my AVM Fritz Box router. There is a VPN configuration active in the Fritz Box, I created a matching VPN policy using NCT, copied it to the phone and installed it. The policy is visible at Settings > Connections > VPN, it is linked to a VPN access point, and its certificate status is Ok.

However, when I try to activate VPN (in the toggle widget or in the settings), there is an error message indicating that there is no VPN policy present (German: "Eine VPN-Richtlinie muss erstellt werden, damit VPN aktiviert werden kann": "A VPN policy must be created in order to activate VPN").

Note that at this time there is no connection attempt, the message indicates that ths VPN policy or some related configuration is not complete.

Is there something missing? I did all steps from the document "Nokia-Mobile-VPN-Setup-Guide-Symbian-Jun12-pdf".

Any help is highly appreciated.

Re: Nokia N8 Belle + mVPN: Policy not accepted

Hello,

As I just read in another thread, the exact message in English is "a vpn policy has to be configured before vpn can be turned on". May be somebody is able to identify the roor cause with the exact message text.

The situation has not changed: there exists a vpn policy, and it is mapped to a vpn access point. In the vpn configuration everything looks good. But when I try to activate vpn, the mentioned message appears.

I have no problem with that little bug, may be it is also a misconfiguration on my side. But I have a problem with the fact that the "Premium Support" at "Nokia Expert Centre" is not even able to understand it. If there is no working support from Nokia anymore, there's no point in choosing Nokia over any Chinese or Korean manufacturer again. I am deeply disappointed
