Internet connection via 3G and WLAN is fine.
'Go to new web page' option also works if you enter web address direct.
BUT when searching via Google, Bing, BBC or any other search engine no search results come up and phone defaults back to original home page.
Any ideas please?

Is your WLAN and 3G on the same Operator/ISP?

In browser search for Google Search, when the page loads, choose the Google home page, once open, touch the arrow in bottom right corner of screen and select options>settings>general>home page>set to current page, Google will then open whenever you open the Browser ![]()

Thank you, this is fine for setting Google as homepage when opening Internet browser, but unfortunately still same problem for defaulting back to home page with no 'search results.'
Thanks again.

As an alternative, I really would use Opera Mobile (well I do actually !) and set it as default browser, it won't work with everything, but it will open email attachments, and for now it is a better and more customisable alternative to the native browser ! I don't even have 'Web' on my homescreen, it's hidden away in a 'Browsers' folder !
Good luck, hope you get what you want , eventually :![]()

It's a pleasure . that's the reason the forum is here
and if you have a little patience, there will be a new browser included in the major software update due before the end of the month that may make us all a lot happier with our phones !!! Just keep your eyes out for 'Anna' ![]()
