Some additional information, the case is not Gorrila. It scratches very easy!

It has to be Gorilla glass, as I have managed to drop the N8 about 5 times from a meter high on the stone tiles (flat on the screen), and not even a mark or scratch on it.

I wish I was so lucky. I've only dropped my phone ONCE and it smashed the display. This just happened 2 days ago tomorrow I'm off to Nokia Care. Wonder how much this will set me back. I ought to not bother I'm dumping this thing for an iPhone 5 when they come out.

I have not removed the protective cover from my N8.
Does all this mean that it would be OK for it to be removed.

There are many videos like this, and Gorilla glass is VERY resistant to scratches, but as Fender says, any glass will mark, Gorilla glass just takes a lot more abuse to do so !! I have a 6 month old E7 with no scratches !

Hi ,
Even I am the unlucky with dropping My N8 for first time(on road, screen facing the road) Now the glass is broken as same as yours, touch is not working.
How long they take to change it and will it work like original one, is the same quality available , How much did it cost you .
Please advise

Hi Raghav180,
Welcome to the forum!
You need to contact your local Nokia support for them to provide you the exact cost and how long would it take to repair the device.
