Re: Nokia N8 battery drainage after updating to Belle.

[ Edited ]

A little bit of history: had the original S^3 and went directly to Belle on a N8. Everything was fine on both versions in terms of battery life getting up to 3 days with moderate use until one day several weeks ago the phone started acting up, would not connect to carrier (ATT USA), then everything was back to normal after a couple of reboots except now the battery was draining really fast, it would discharge completely in 8 hours from full charge just sitting in idle with no data usage and no widgets, and even with mobile data turned off. Same as a previous poster I found that disabling 3G helps a great deal and now I'm back to normal as it was before but no 3G. Somehow the battery lasted previously with 3G enabled so something got messed up. Just a thought - can this be related to ATT rolling out 4G networks? With 3G enabled the phone shows 3.5G, unsure if this was any different before. Checked yesterday and Belle Refresh isn't yet available for me, interested to see if things change with this update.

Re: Nokia N8 battery drainage after updating to Belle.

If you are complaing about battery on the belle, then i suggest to not download belle refresh.

I did and now i'm loosing about 10% battery power each hour.

After 8 hours at work i go from 100% to less than 20% battery and i have to recharge the phone when i get home.

And that's when the phone is on idle, and i never use my phone at work.

So don't update it.

You will also get alot of extra programs that you can't uninstall like microsoft apps, lynx and alot of other software !
