Okay i know alot of people out there do not know which phone to buy the n95 or n95 8gb... well here are a few things just to help you guys out....just a little pros and cons...

NOKIA N95
*Memory card slot (it may say support up to 2gb but mine is running a 4gb MicroSD HC)remember with the new firmware your phone can support a 8gb microsd as well....there goes your NOKIA n95 8gb...plus in january they are releasing a 32 micro SD by samsung...pricey though...
*Camera Lens has a shutter to protect your lens from scratches and dust.
*it comes with 160mb ram.
*Battery like isnt all THAT proubably a day and half at the most it will go.

NOKIA N95 8gb
*No Memory card slot (just 8gb internal memory).. so ummm yeah....lmao
*No camera shutter to protect camera lens
*Bigger battery (more battery life)..
*and a 2.8 screen rather then the normal 2.6 screen that the nokia n95 has...
*oh and its facsia color is black only (unless nokia releases some face covers for this phone.)

so there you have it i hope this was helpful both phones seem to be good in different perspectives.....so i hope this was helpful enough....if i have made any mistakes please let me know...thank you

Fine, but a lil mistake.
You mixed up physical memory with RAM memory.
N95 has 64 MB of RAM and availablity is about 20-22 MB.
On ther hand, N95 8 GB has 128 MB of RAM,it is a big advantage.
Now the 2.8" screen is just great for playin ngage games and videos, also to GPS.
Mmeory issue: there has been risin a issue between N95's supportin memory slot and N95 8 GB's fixed 8 GB.

What can I tell you in this moment:
Nokia arent fool,
This 8 GB will hit the shelves in later 2007, and if your statement is right then the 32 Gigs cards will also hit just after (January lol) its release.
How nokia can release a phone with fixed 8GB phone at such a time when there will be already 32 gigs memory card?
Nokia aint wrong bout there speculation.

Second, nokia are smart,even if they are released, I guess (I aint devil's advocate) they wont let the generic N95 to support over 8 GB cards, rather they will announce nu nokia nseries phones that will be like to say support many nex gen features.

2.8" screen,
8 G B of memory for all regions.

Hi,

I just got the N95 before they announced the new one so I am not that happy and hope it will support more memroy.

One thing though - there seems to be a repeated mistatement of specs - the old N95 has 160MB RAM and the N95 8GB only 128MB Ram as opposed to what was claimed above - the old one having only 64mb. You can check the specs on the Nokia site - they are very clear and I can also see the available memory in my phone which totals (including RAM installations) 160MB. RAM on the old one is definitely more.

I would be very curious if someone was in fact able to make their onld N95 work with >2gb card and what the maximum currently in use.

You are mixin facts.
Previous N95 has 64 MB of RAM, and 160 of internal memory.
N95 8GB has 128 MB of RAM, same 160 internal memory

Why would u want a N95 8GB wen nearly at da same time dey gona release N95 8GB along with Samsung 16GB / 32GB MicroSD Cards?.
Da old N95 will support 32GB MicroSD coz it supports the (SDHC) so therefore it will support 32GB SDHC Cards.

The new N95 8GB is just a market hype to boost der profits by fooling people for abit. its like N91 n N91 8GB no difference at all.

Im pretty sure dey got dis new battery for N95 on the market by this different company giving it more life in n95. here is da trick.. get N95 not N95 8GB n for those who want a Music Phone get N81 not N81 8GB coz u can get 16GB/32GB MicroSD soon n plus N81 supports SDHC cards also N81 will be cheaper dan N81 8GB

You did forget, that screen pixels are bigger in 8GB version! If you divide higher prise per pixel, it's not much!

Example prise + 200eur / 76800 pixels = 0,0026eur per bigger pixel! Not much

Yes, and the N95 8GB has better build quality and better battery.
And I am pretty sure the battery only for N95 8GB.
And I am also guessing N95 with inferior basic specs with 32 GB is worse than A cool N95 8GB.
And finally the new/upcoming HCSD cards should be available for upcoming phones.

Do I miss anything else?

The only differences that I think is important are:

*RAM (64mb VS 128mb)
*speed of camera autofocus
*battery

For other spec. : 2.8 screen, external memory, camera shutter, I still can accept the old N95.

I understand that when Nokia releases N95 8gb, the price of old N95 will drop. So considering the price difference, should I still buy the old N95?

What is the fair price difference that will compensate the spec. differences?

Will those differences really really affect the performance of N95 8gb in normal daily uses from most common users? I mean common users not tester users.

Bigger battery & bigger + brighter display so battry life remains the same

= problem solved, forget 8GB while normal on shelfs

Yeah, toru.
But the screen though brighter (which is a good point though) the screen is not that big, may be the battery is well for 8 GB of multimedia things.

I heard somewhere that they improved the camera and photos beyond the faster autofocus fix...

Do you think they'll come up with a better battery for the existing N95? Seems like that is the only real problem with it.

Other than that 8gb is plenty of space for anything really and 8gb phone is probably worth it solely for the longer battery life and more RAM ... assuming price difference isn't that great

8 GB of flash memory (which is solidly intact in the N95 8GB) is just enough for me.
With a better battery I'll be happy.
950mAh with 32 Gig cards is not for me.
