Nokia N97- When will it become open source? (Bootloader codes, kernals etc)

Hey Nokia,

I would like to ask when the Nokia N97 Would become an Open source? When will the keys, boot loader codes, kernals SDK and its full symbian SDK be released?

Many of us would like to develop and code alternatives operating systems to be dual booted alongside the current symbian OS. However we currently cant do this as we do not have full access to the entire device as it has not been open sourced.

Please can you release the necessary tools, documents and codes to do so.
We all would really like to get the most out of our devices.

Yours Faithfully

Blazar

Sorry i forgot to ask, will you be releasing any future updates for the N97 (eg. an alternative Windows Mobile OS) since you have recently collaborated with Windows?

You cannot discuss hacking phones on this forum, but if you were to do a Google search on the subject, the type of thing you want exists, but cannot be recommended as it voids your warranty !

If I have helped at all, a click on the White Star is always appreciated :

Thanks alot  for your answers;
@romerompe
 i know the bootloader isnt cracked, we dont want it to be cracked but to be openly released to the community.

@carman58
I am not talking about hacking. What i mean is for it to be open sourced, therefore hacking wont be required as the SDK would have all the specified tools and such.

And yes i have googled it but no theres no alternative OS for the N97, only symbian, and the bootloader has not been cracked, its too secure. which is why were asking for its codes to be publically released.
And my warranty expired when nokia decided not to release any more updates :smileywink:

People would convert from symbian to android for free if the bootloaders were released openly.

Re: Nokia N97- When will it become open source? (Bootloader codes, kernals etc)

that won't happen....Nokia has already made a choice to go with microsoft....and microsoft's wp os is not open source
