Nokia Social 1.3.xxx "Update Error" -- Help!!!

I have the Nokia N8, PR 1.2, Variant - North America, Qt 4.7.3, Installed Notifications + SSOUI from latest Qt 4.7.3 package from the SDK.

 

I have been enjoying Social 1.3.189 from Nokia Beta Labs for a while now and 1.3.208 arrives.

 

I try to install it while I had Nokia Situations on, with Power Saving On. While installing 1.3.208, my phone seemed to hang, so I rebooted in the middle of installation.

 

Tried to install 1.3.208 again and it won't go past "Installing".

 

So I decided to uninstall Social altogether. SSOUI suddenly pops up after Social was installed?

 

My SSOUI is v.1.3.11103. Does this matter?

 

So since I did not have Social. I tried to find Social.

 

I had the installers for Social 1.3.143, 1.3.189 and 1.3.208 but none of these installed at all.

 

So I read the forums and found Social 1.1 (I assume is it a Social version lower than 1.2.163). 

 

I tried to install. "Certificate Expired". Change the date to 11/11/2010, 1/11/2010, 1/12/2010 even went far beyond to 2009 but still I get the "Certificate Expired". So I had no choice at all.

 

I check Nokia SW Update, I see Social 1.2.163 there. I download and it installed correctly.

 

Then I reboot as instructed.

 

When I try to install 1.3.143, 1.3.189 or 1.3.208, I only receive this message "Update Error".

 

Some how, something in C:\ is preventing this Update to occur. Sucks!

 

HELP NOKIA!!!!

I have a similar problem. One day I found my OVI Social and Nokia Battery Monitor both stopped working. I tried to install the Social app again as it guided ("uninstall and install community") but "Update Error" was preventing me from doing so. I restored the phone to a backup and then Nokia Battery Monitor worked again while Social App was still broken.

 

No more "Update Error" but no matter how many times I uninstalled and installed OVI Social it just say the same thing, requesting me to uninstall and install again, but not working at all.
