I checked for updates this morning on my N8 (voda, UK) and there was a "Phone Apps Update"

 

Is there a changelog or something so I can see what's new?

There's no changelog for this update but it contains some stability improvements e.g. for music player and photo gallery. The update could help e.g. if there's some hanging issues when trying to access the photo gallery or music player.

 

It's worth installing this update because it can help to avoid some of the issues which you might have with these apps.
