Please can anyone with a nokia-n92 help me.
My screen has is blacked out.
I have downloaded and installed nokia suite 3.386. I want to save my contacts and messages to the computer.
I tried connecting the phone with the usb but because I dont see anything I cannot make the right choice.
Can anyone please post a step by step guide which will enable me to connect my phone to the pc suite.
E.g (1. Click the menu, 2. then click left soft key. 3. then go down 3 times.)
Please. I really need help.
Thanks.

Hi I just charged my N92 and connected to get the exact procedure for you.
Connect your USB to pc and device
"Arrow down once" then hit "Left soft key"
This will select PC suite mode on the device, Nokia Suite will then check the support software on device.
When you hear a beep, "hit the left soft key" then you should hear a second beep "Hit left soft key again"
A few seconds later you should hear another beep, "once again hit the left soft key", there should then be another beep, "hit the left soft key again"
All being well you should now be connected
Good luck

Thank you so much for you reply!
I have not yet solved the problem however.
I tried the steps;
1.With my memory card in the phone, but it always takes it into the data transfer mode and the phone is offline I can see it on the other side (my mini screen on the other side works).
2. Without the memory card as well (nothing happens I tried several times)...
I think I had earlier changed the default settings.
Could you please post a way through which I get connected 100%.
I had a glimps of the screen while I was trying to connect. I think by changing setting in the "Connect folder" one can acces the pc suite.
I have determined that I now must click
1. Menu
2. One push down
3. One push sideways
To get to the "connect" folder
I know nothing else because I dont see anything...
Please help me out.

When you connect your phone via usb and the menu pops up where you press "arrow one down" to get to the pc suite. Don't do that instead click the "red hang up" button to get a clear screen.
Then connect yourself to the pc suite and post the instructions.
Thanks!

Your instructions for connecting to the connect folder are not correct for my device, here is the complete instructions are per my device
Hit Menu
Arrow down twice
Arrow left once, hit central enter key
arrow right once
arrow up once, hit central enter key
after beep hit left soft key
arrow down once
hit left soft key
That selects PC suite mode, then follow instructions for installing support software if you hear the beep

Do you do these steps with the memory card in your phone or without the memory card?
Because When I do these with the memory card in my phone data storage is activated and my memory card becomes a "usb" in my computer.
If I follow these instructions without the memory card nothing happens..
[With the memory Card]
Menu
Arrow down twice
Arrow left once, hit central enter key
arrow right once
arrow up once, hit central enter key
after beep hit left soft key
arrow down once
My Phone becomes a usb.
[Without the memory Card]
Menu
Arrow down twice
Arrow left once, hit central enter key
arrow right once
arrow up once, hit central enter key ( I hear a beep at this stage)
after beep hit left soft key
(then I hear another beep right after hitting the left soft key) and then nothing...
I think I may earlier have set "USB mode" as the default mode.
Could you please post a method to make PC suite as the default mode...

I have been reading the n-92 manual to figure out what I can do.
I have found another way (although getting connected to the pc suite would be a blessing) to copy contacts to the memory card!
Could you instruct me on that... because the pc suite just does not seem to work for me...

These steps are with a memory card inserted

Can you post steps of copying contacts to the memory card.
E.g
Left softkey to get to contacts
and then to select all
and then Option>CopytoMemory.
Thank you.
