Hi,
Using my N8 a few days now and it is making me very happy but i encounter two major issues;
- The "Photos"-app is not working; when i open the app there is a prompt showing "Refreshing Your Media" wich i can hide but when i tap "All" or "Albums" or "Tags" the same prompt shows up again and thats it so i can't watch any picture on my N8.
- Synchronising music with Ovi-Suite between the Pc and the N8 is not possible, each time an error message shows up showing "Can not copy files"
Thx for all help.

Don't know about your photo app, but tou can use Widows Media Player to sync your music, and it's much easier and quicker to drag and drop music to the phone than 'sync' anyway !
Good Luck

- You should wait until all storages are indexed into the library. I had the same issue but i just waited until its finished. After that you can use it without problems!
- I use Windows Explorer to copy&paste my music.

I found the solution to this problem; go to Menu / Settings / Phone / Phone Management / Factory Settings / Delete data and restore
This solved my problem, the Photos-app works perfect now, note that this action will delete all settings from your phone (like email and social) but those are reset in no time.

@MobileGuru ; thx for the W.M.P.-tip, this works great indeed, it recognises my N8 immediatly and music is synchronised in no time with cover-art.

Thank you for the hint, I took some pictures today without an sd card inside the phone and the photo app was totally blocked, then inserted a new sd still without the possibility to access pictures and to use Ovi for sync...after the reset and a long restart now I can launch the photo app :-)

for me, the photos issue was fixed by turning the phone off and then back on

I had the same problem, managed to fix it in the end by using the ovi suite updater to reinstall the firmware, then turn the phone off and back on. Hop this helps anyone else with a similar problem.
