Working in my 700. Uninstall swype and restart the phone. Reinstall swype files from nokia betalabs.

Re: Problems with swype on Belle FP2

swype for belle from beta labs also does not work correctly on FP2, the text window is not visible on 701 with belle FP2 update... swype team was developing hindi and bengali fonts in may 2011... still no updates? swype needs a update to be compatible with FP2 and hindi!

Re: Problems with swype on Belle FP2

typing as a whole has been messed up on belle fp2. I just disabled swype completely even though I prefer it even over the new keyboard it just seems to have more problems on fp2

Re: Problems with swype on Belle FP2

Although Swype is working fine for me , i prefer the new kb on FP2, although wish it was consistent throughout as some apps still revert to the old Symbian kb. However , as the latest update still has issues and has been pulled again due to users complaining of problems. Hopefully the final release will resolve veryones issues ?

Re: Problems with swype on Belle FP2

I think it's safe to say that Swype won't receive any more updates for the Symbian platform, either in Nokia Store or in Beta Labs. It appears that the last of the Symbian applications on Beta Labs were either archived, or trials concluded a couple of months ago, and the only new trials are for Windows Phone applications. Bummed that this has happened.

Re: Problems with swype on Belle FP2

@adrianhughes Based on how long the current bugs have been out there this is probably true, but it would make sense for all of us Symbian users to at least hit the Swype forums and bug them about this.  You know squeaky wheel and all.  I really miss my Swype keyboard I've gotten really fast with it. :smileysad:

Re: Problems with swype on Belle FP2

Likely the best place to complain is on the swype betalabs place. The swype forum seems quite dead.

Re: Problems with swype on Belle FP2

Hi LemmingRush and breaky9973,

You can try but I do not believe that it will be seen by anyone on either of those forums. As I was saying, development has closed down on a lot of Beta Labs projects for applications other than those for Windows Phone. I guess it is something we will just have to live with unfortunately. Is sad to see that the beta Swype never graduated and appeared to have been left in the dust.

Not quite as here:http://forum.swype.com/showthread.php?10391-Swype-asks-for-update-Where-can-I-download-it/page7

Although some users may not be happy with what's involved, there is a solution since everyhing stopped upon 19/10/12 and here is application upon my 700 Belle FP2:
