Hello, My mobile is not switching on after installation of a software which was not compatible with Nokia Belle. I installed the same software on Nokia Anna. It was working flawlessly, though it gave me an incompatibility warning message while installation. Could anyone suggest me how to reinstall Nokia Belle or switch on the device without reinstallation. It does switches on for some seconds and tries to load i.e. not completely - not even till hand shaking screen. And then switches off.

Hey osama_xlt,
Welcome to Nokia Discussions forum! Sorry to hear about the issue, try the following steps and test if it starts in between them.
Press the power button until the phone vibrates 3 times. This is equal to taking the battery out.
if that doesn't help, try to charge the battery full and try then.
Connect the phone to PC with USB and open Nokia Suite. Try to power the phone on. If the phone turns on, you can try to reinstall Belle. The process is the same as when updating with Nokia Suite, but at the end select "Reinstall". First, however, take a backup if you don't have one.
If the phone does not react to there actions, please take it to the Nokia Care point.
Hope you get the phone working again!

What particular application did you install that is causing this issue?

To re-install the Firmware you will need to connect the phone to a PC and launch Nokia Suite on the PC. Then go to Software update and select Reinstall firmware.

The product code is linked to the region the phone was sold to, so if the product code was unchanged so is the firmware version. What might have happened is that the Nokia Care point has installed the language pack for India giving you local languages. This would be corrected by re-installing the firmware through Nokia Suite which will get you the original language files (based on your product code).
Here is the procedure to do a safe reset;
Follow the procedure below to do a full device reset and (re)install of the system firmware:
You might also return to the Nokia Care Point you went to and ask them to rewrite the original firmware for your product code. Make sure you have a backup though as this will completely erase all personal data.
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

Hi Kosh ,
I am uploading a screen shot of the nokia suite software update page. Here i have connected my other x6 mobile too which s showing the option for reinstalling software but for my n8 it does not show the reinstall option.
Does that mean nokia does not give an option to reinstall software on n8? Its ridiculous

@jaynick
If Belle Refresh v111.040.1511 appeared as FOTA update only days ago, it can take longer for the 300MB complete software file to reach servers for use by Nokia Suite.

Hi Jaynick,
No it is not possibly to downgrade from a firmware version to a lower firmware version, only upgrade. If you are still encountering problems months later as you appear to be, I suggest taking your phone to your local Nokia Care point for them to investigate.
