Hi Everyone,

      I was planning to buy the Nokia N97. Then I found out that the new N900 is out in the market and it is cracker of a cell phone. When I looked at the specification of the cell I saw that it is based on the Maemo OS. I currently have the Nokia N73 ME and have a lot of messages, contacts and other important data that I cannot part with. So I would like to know that I there any way I can take the backup of the N73 and transfer them into the N900, especially the messages. If its can't be done then I guess I would have to stick to the N97, purely because of the Symbian platform (at least I can do a backup, restore using PC Suite).

you could do the copy your messages to ovisuite although with my experience you cannot copy them back to the phone.
i don't think a symbian backup would work on maemo OS.

Am only 99% sure , but believe N900 will work with phone switch, so you should be able to sync the N900 with your old phone !
