Where to buy OEM batteries

Looking for a reputable dealer to buy a replacement battery for my N8 (battery part number is BL-4D), as I have not had luck with Amazon resellers. I am located in the USA. Any suggestions, personal experience, appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Where to buy OEM batteries

Have you tried chatting online to a Nokia representative and asking them where to source official batteries? You can do this by clicking the Nokia Support link at the bottom of this page.

[ Edited ]

Thanks for your suggestion adrianhughes. I just tried the online chat. TL;DR, I was referred to Amazon:

me: Hello, I'm looking to buy a replacement battery for my Nokia N8. I was wondering if you could point me to an authorized retailer in the US.

(personal info exhange cut out)

nokia rep: (after some research time) Thank you for the information XXXXX. I would like to inform you that the Nokia N8-00 have a integrated battery and it cannot be remove. However, our authorized retailer in the USA is Amazon.

me: The same battery is used for the Nokia E5 (battery part number BL-4D), and Amazon does not directly sell this battery. The batteries I have purchased from their resellers are fakes. Is there another authorized dealer that could check out?

nokia rep: (after some more research time) The compatible battery for the phone is BL-4D and the part number you have provided is correct. However, we do not have other authorized retailer it is only Amazon.

Re: Where to buy OEM batteries

There is a place I use to get parts from. I can't vouch for them but the bits I got before were genuine. I send you a DM if I remember.

Re: Where to buy OEM batteries

Similar situation as the OP - trying to figure out how to get my N8 battery replaced (or serivced).  The phone was purchased just before Nokia USA store closed down - June 2011.  Just a couple of months ago (a little over a year after the phone was purchased) the battery started draining very fast, and the phone went from a 3-4 day charge life to less than a day. I've installed battery monitor but it hasn't given me any useful/actionable hints - looks like most of the usage is in the background, but they all seem like regular Nokia apps.

So it seems the battery is close to dead.  By contrast, my earlier 5800 XpressMusic battery is going strong since 2009, even though I have to admit that phone doesn't get used much.

To the OP/others in the USA...how does one get their battery replaced?  I still use this phone and want to continue doing so.  Thanks.

Re: Where to buy OEM batteries

Discussing replacing or how to replace battery should not really be discussed here as its a sealed unit.

If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.
