Hi,
I have read the N8 manual and can't find the answer to this question (I don't currently have an N8). On my E75 I can have the phone automatically switch to the "Silent" profile when I connect to the Parrot MKi9100 bluetooth car kit in my car. I do this by going through the menu:
Settings >> General >> Enhancement >> Wireless car kit >> Default profile
Can anyone who has an N8 tell me if it has the same functionality?
Thanks,
Al
PS While we're on the subject, if anyone has an N8 with a Parrot MKi car kit, can they tell me whether switching to "Silent" profile disables message alerts being sent over A2DP and interrupting music playback? (this is the way my E75 works)

In N8 it is Settings > Phone > Accessories > Wireless car kit as here:
You may however be disappointed for A2DP as found N8 considerably less functionality than say 5800XM with which you could establish two Bluetooth pairings both as "hands free" and as "music player" which N8 can't.Symbian specialist until 31/01/2013 with interests in Maemo & MeeGo but an aversion to Windows!

You could give "Situations" a try: http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/nokia-situations

On my old N82 it whas working properly. Is ther solution for that?
