It has less problems as the phone memory is larger, but otherwise is very similar, you're better reading independent reviews than asking advice here !

The N97 mini has less issues, for instance it has more room on C: for applications (the N97 is often running out of space). Navigation, camera and build quality are OK. But it is equally slow, especially the menu and photo viewer.

 

Edit: and dont expect much from the browser. If you compare it with a computer, it feels like Windows 95.
