When i'm video filming outside , I want to connect an external microphone to my N8. Because the the wind gives a disturbing noise when using the internal mic.

I've an Nokia ca-75u connection cable to connect an external mic to the N8. It works with the sound recorder program and the Alon dictaphone.

But when I start video filming with the camera the N8 seems to switch to internal mic automaticly.

Is there a way ( Usb, CA-75u, bleutooth) to connect an external mic to the n8 when you are using the camera for video filming?

I am having this exact same problem. I have scoured the internet, bought all the proper equipment. Triple checked the phone and all the settings. I can record from the mic in the sound recorder but it still uses only the built in mic in the video recorder. 

Please some one have an answer. I have wasted a day on this.

 Unfortunately there isn't a way to achieve this currently. Many people have tried various solutions but with no positive results. Nokia have been informed of this problem via the ideas project website, but that was some time ago now.

Have you guys tried 3rd party video recorders like SymDVR?

You could try to make a long fur cover for the whole fone when filming. This would protect the mic from the wind .
