Hi,

This question if for an N8 running Belle.

Is it possible to have the default view of an incoming message just the message and not the conversation? I have looked everywhere in the settings and can't find any way of achieving this. I know you could do it under Anna.

Hi CGG1,

As Belle is a different operating system from Anna, I'm afraid that it is not possible to change the default view of incoming messages to just the message view on Belle.

Thank you for your swift response. Why have Nokia chosen to remove functionality? I may be the odd one out in finding the conversations view irritating and completely unnecessary but it does seem a strange decision to make the new version under Belle less flexible than the old version under Anna!

As has been said you can't change the default setting, I looked too! You can view messages not as a conversation, when in messages touch the 3 horizontal lines bottom right, then view folders. Sorry if i am telling you somehing you know already!!

when in messages touch the 3 horizontal lines bottom right > Parameters > Others > No for the 2nd options (sorry in french > Afficher les msgs en groupes)

how do i get my phone to display a conversation list instead of individual messages because i cant reply to txt straight from the text input panel..help!

Depends on your device whether the phone has that feature inbuilt, you need to install a 3rd party application to do that or its not possible on your device. Unless you provide the phone details, can't answer that ..
