hi, I've done updating the firmware to the latest v.25.007 anna...after updating all the update 1 & 2, i found that my play via radio ( FM TRANSMITTER ) went missing from my N8, i already reboot to its original factory setting, to dismay, its still not there.. i have searched entire contents and folders in my n8, but still not to be found .previously it was there before i run the update firmware, and i enjoying listening songs thru it via my car stereo..can anyone pls help me....

Good question, I can't see an App anywhere either.

However it is there on the Options menu of the Music player and you can add it as a Shortcut on the Shortcuts Widget.

Hope that helps, I'm still on V.22 though.

It's kind of confusing. They changed the name to Pl. via Radio. Why they changed the name, I have no idea.

To get there:

Menu -> Music -> Pl. via Radio

hi

i have a nokia n8 and have recently updated to belle.

after the update i am not able to see the Pl via Radio icon on the phone.

i have read blogs and other forums and have checked accordingly on the music menu's however i am not able to see any such option to Pl via Radio.

i live in fiji and transmission is allowed in fiji.

i am quiet disappointed with loosing that option as i believe it is one of the best options available on the phone.

please if anyone can help me with this, i would be really glad.

i wonder why and how this gets lost aftr the belle update.

please if nokia can rectify this issue.

It sounds like your phone has been updated to a country variant that doesn't support FM Transmission.

You could try re-installing the Firmware using Nokia Suite, check for updates then take the re-install option.

Or try installing Nokia Car Mode from the Store, it has a nice big "Play by Radio" button in the bottom right corner (portrait).

If it still doesn't appear and you have a local Nokia Care, take it along and see if they'll install the local variant for you.

i have also done a reinstall but nothing has changed.

hi there all

i have not been able to get this resolved.

i have also email nokia support centre in Europe and i have not recieved any response from them apart fro their usual service request number.

below are the actions i have taken:

1. reinstalled the firmware but it still doesnt bring back the pl. via radio app.
2. deleted data and restored but still the same issue
3. have searched the apps store for that particular app but could not find it.
4. installed nokia car mode but Pl. via radio application is not available.

it is quiet amazing that after belle update, a restore factory settings brings back the belle OS rather than the Symbian Anna Os. it surely defeats its name of restore factory settings.

is there anyone out there from nokia to tackle this issue.

eagerly awaiting for the assistance please.

Have you hard reset your phone, turn the phone off, and hold the off/On key down for maybe 10 seconds, then you get 3 vibrations, not only 1 like when you turn it ON, try this !

Or you can open the music player and choose play via radio ( I think it is in English), in option from the right hand corner.  But you might have to start playing a song, than go to options.

You have to fix this, fantastic option.

Where did you buy your phone? What is the Product Code?

It's possible that country code doesn't allow FM Transmission.

Apart from that, sorry I'm out of ideas.

i have tried the ways as advised by you.

it didnt work.

the funny part is that it was available on symbian anna os and after belle update, the app is gone.

the belle os is way better however loosing fantastic applications as such frustrates me.

i have checked almost all the blogs and forums and i cannot find an answer to this.

is there any other way that i can try to get this back.

i will certainly appreciate any sort of feedback please.

not being able to find a solution to this will start giving me second thoughts about purchasing nokia from here onwards.
