my n8 was fine until just over a week ago now it will not connect to ovi or download any software updates from ovi store i dont get any text and unable to get any apps even though it says they will be sent,contacted nokia by e-mail but the only reply from them was a questionaire on how do i rate their service ,any help would be great

I had the same problem. I chose apps from OVI store and sent them to my phone. I received nothing. The only way to load apps is to access them from the OVI store on your N8 and download them. If you need N8 Nokia Support, you have to phone them. You will find the phone number on the Nokia website, depending which country you are in. Wait to listen to the whole menu, because at the end it gives you a connection to a dedicated N8 support team which are good.

Try going to the ovi store using the web browser on the N8, you may get an update offered and be able to sign in from there, instaed of using the app on the phone !
