That sounds rather slack of them to say they don't know about the problem. I would persist with them and tell them your problem and that it needs to be repaired. I also suggest letting your regions Nokia know additionally, by clicking the Nokia Support link at the bottom of this page, and letting them know what your Nokia Care staff has said about the issue.
