Unfortunately, the hard reset is the last option for end users to do, but the guide will provide you with information of where to turn.
What you could try is to pull out both the memory card and the Sim card. Leave the battery out for about a minute and then try the hard reset (without the memory card and the simcard).
Give it a few shots as it can be hard to get it right the first time. The 3 buttons shall be depressed and hold while powering on (makes it 4 buttons).
