My N8 not sync with Ovi Sync. He's show message "Fail in the activation service. Try later again" What can i do?

I can't update either. i even thought it was settings on my phone, so i formatted the thing but it still dosn't work.
Can anybody at Nokia provide a Ovi Sync server status update?

Same message here... Can we download our contact as CSV files (as with Outlook) or Vcards (Apple Adress Book) from Ovi Contacts Site?

Well, as ovi sync did not work, i could restore my contacts from ovi doing this:
1 - Acess Ovi Contacts web interface:
https://contactsui.ovi.com/contacts
Of course, you have to login with you ovi account
2 - Go to Manage Device > Restore Device
I translated this path from portuguese, so, i am not sure if this is exactly the english terms
3 - Conect the phone to PC with Ovi Suite
4 - Go to Tools > Restore
5 - Done!

Same here, since August 20th service is not working i upgraded to Anna my N8, today is September 13th and still i can't restore my contacts from ovi.com, come on Nokia is somebody there, im thinking about change to iphone or galaxy II, don't make me do that.

What's wrong with you nokia guys? Are you going to do something? I month ago i don't have service, same message " Service activation failed. Try again later". Come on, do something your devices are not so cheap and we pay for a good service please do whatever you gotta do.

Same problem here on a brand new (just got it 3 days ago) Nokia C6-01, USA version, stock firmware (which means it hasn't been upgraded to ANNA yet). Keep getting the "Service activation failed. Try again later." message too. But everything else Ovi on my phone works fine.

Since this thread is one month old without any solution, I would like to know officially from Nokia if this service (Ovi Sync) has been discontinued or when it is going to be resumed.
We (owners of Nokia mobiles) would appreciate if that was informed to us prior to the ceasing of the service
. In my own case, I would have relied on something else as backup before resetting my E72-2.

It seems to me that there is still someone working Nokia and reading to these posts.
Please see the thread "Plz help to restore contacts from ovi sync to my Nokia E72."
Let´s see if the mistery of Ovi Sync is now solved.
