Nokia Link starts a process called dpengine that eats up 100% of the cpu cycles.

Im usign the latest iTunes 10.5. Could that be a problem?

How long does it keep using the CPU? Does it happen every time, or just on first connection?

(On first connection Nokia Link indexes what kind of media you have in your phone and computer libraries. After first time, we only check for deltas - so once the initial indexing is done, it should be much lighter and faster).

Hi, I've tried it for > 10 mins.

The library contains > 16000 songs.

I've just started it again and I will give it more time.

However, why don't you simply scan the iTunes XML File?

it never returns from Dp::CDpMp3ParserPlugin:arseResource ()

lsof says it's having one mp3 file open:

So maybe this file's id3 tags are corrupted or something?

Update: After removing the problematic mp3 files (anybody interested in analyzing the files?) and waiting for a looooong time Link displayed (some of) my playlists and could sync with N9.

However after the second start it still starts using all of my CPU.

Backtrace shows that it does an endless series of sqlite queries.

This is currently totally unusable for me.
