I have installed Nokia PC Suite 7.0.7.0 (Arabic version) on Windows XP SP3.

Installation process went smoothly with no problems. However, some texts and menus in software components such as Contacts & Messages do not display Arabic characters in the proper way while others do!

Here is a screenshot of the problem:

Same problem.

The strange point is, it shows messages with arabic characters in a correct way in the main window but it show false characters in the Nokia Communication Center.

I found the same problem. It seems to be related to the Arabic code pages, because I was able to adjust the arabic fonts by adding code page 20420. Here's what I did:

- Open Control Panel
- Go to regional and language options
- Click the "Advanced" tab
- The "select language ..." combo box is English (United States) (at least in my case)
- in the "Code page conversion tables", scroll till you find "20420 (IBM EBCDIC - Arabic). Check this checkbox
- Click OK
- You might be prompted to insert the Windows installation CD.
- When the file is copied, you may be required to restart (don't exactly remember)
- After that, when you run the PC suite, you will be able to see arabic fonts (although I don't like the font, which seems to be Koufi or something, and it's too small, but at least readable)

What code pages are selected in code page conversion tables (Control Panel > regional and language options > Advanced)?
And what is selected language non-unicode applications?

Also, what language your windows is using?

I have the same problem where I can't read or write Arabic text message using messeaging feature in Nokia PC Suite 7.0.8.2.
My Nokia phone is N95 8GB connected by Cable.

I used to read and write Arabic in previous verion of PC Suite 7.0

Following are my system information:

- Microsoft (Version: 5.1.2600, Build: 5512)

I think Nokia support doesn't even care about the Arabic users.
This issue has taken long time without any reply from the Nokia support technician.

Nokia_PC_Suite_rel_7_0_9_2_eng.exe doesn't support Arabic, hope the software developers add the arabic in newer versions

Have you checked this issue in latest PC Suite 7.1.18.0. Please make sure that you have arabic language in PC Suite, PC Operating system and Phone

The tip below worked for me, now I can view arabic in the Communication Center but with a very small Koufi font. Then it got me thinking that PC Suite might be expecting a non-Arabic language to be the main language of windows. So I set my language to English (United States) and I can still see Arabic (using the same font).

hello guys
u u can do a work-around to this problem on VIsta by:
- Open 'Control Panel'.
- Go to 'Fonts' folder.
- Delete the 'MS Sans Serif Font 8,10,12,14,18,24 (VGA)' font.

* Notice that there are two fonts has approximately the same name, you just have to remove the font with the 'Sans' prefix.
* I prefer to take backup first.
* Try view your messages and contacts normally

Changing the non-unicode language works, but all other programs will not show arabic characters properly, and the font in PC suite is too small.

Anyone has the installation file of the old version PC suite 7.0???

i have the solution for this problem

simply unistall pc suite

go to control panel

choose standard and formate =====] english united state

location ======] united state

language for non-unicode programs =======] english united state

make a restart then install pc suite

arabic will appear great

but there is one small problem

that its small font

we need from developers to add an option for pc suite fonts , at least to increase the size of the fonts

well, if you're at the point where you display Arabic correctly, but hate the font, then simply go to "Fonts" folder in Control Panel and delete "Andalus" font, restart application, and it will display in plain text Arabic.
