I installed PC Suite 6.6.18 and now it loads into my task bar every time I start my computer and there appears to be no way to shut it down. I only use PC Suite occasionally to transfer images or add contacts. How do I turn it off?

To end

CTRL+ALT+DEL > Task manager > Processes
Select LaunchApplication.exe > End process

To restart

Start > Program Files > Nokia PC Suite > Nokia PC Suite.

You can stop PC Sync (the yingyang icon) loading by right clicking and uncheck 'enable at startup',. To stop PC Suite loading you need to modify your PC's startup

Hi,

If you really really really want to stop PC Suite from running at startup you can take it out of the startup process. Try this at your own risk, hit the start button and go to run and type in msconfig. Click on the startup tab, from this list take out datalayer.exe, servicelayer.exe, launchapplication and pcsync2. If you dont see them all dont worry as it changes between different pc suite versions.

Or, on Windows XP, try Start > Run... > msconfig

Unchecking things in the "Startup" tab/view will prevent those from starting automatically.
